Abseil: Challenge yourself with an abseiling challenge

Afternoon Tea: Host an afternoon tea for your group

Arts and Crafts Stall: Create and sell some crafts at a stall on campus or at YUSU's Christmas Market

Auction: Hold a charity auction, asking local businesses for items to auction off.

Bake Sale: A classic, get baking and then set up a stall to sell your delicious goods

Bingo: Charge per game or for the whole night, dividing the proceeds to the winner and to charity

Birthday Giving: Ask people to donate to your fundraiser instead of gifts

Book Sale: Collect book donations and set up a book sale for your old paperbacks and textbooks

Bring and Buy: People bring items that can be sold and buy items others have brought

Carol Singing: Participate in some festive carol singing.

Climbing: Take on a climbing challenge or challenge yourself to climb your staircase at home.

Coffee Morning:  Collect donations at a coffee morning

Competitions: Challenge your group to reach to compete against others to raise the most.

Comedy Night: Find some funny people on campus who would be willing to perform for your comedy night

Dance Tournament: Involve our dance societies and clubs and host a dance tournament.

Dinner Party: Cook a meal for your flat and ask for donations. 

Dog Petting: See if you can partner with York's Dog Society for a sponsored dog petting


Dress up day: Get everyone in your group to dress up and make a donation. You could all wear coloured socks for your sports tournament.

Easter Egg Hunt: Seasonal fun with an Easter Egg Hunt to raise money.

Endurance Challenge: 1000 squats or 1000 press-ups anyone?

Exhibition: Host an exhibition for your arts and crafts projects.

Face Painting: Offer your face painting skills for a donation

Fancy Dress: Wear fancy dress for your next group event.

Fashion Show: Host a fashion show.

Football Tournament: A five-a-side tournament to raise money from spectators and players.

Games Night:  Turn your favourite board games into a fundraising evening.

Give Something Up: Go without your favourite vice for a while

Go the Distance: Challenge yourself to walking/running/swimming a certain distance.
Guess the...: Another classic, guess how many sweets are in the jar, or guess the name of the bear.

Halloween Party: Hosting a Halloween Party anyway? Why not ask for donations for dressing up or for one of your Halloween snacks.

Head Shaving: Feeling brave? Get people to sponsor you to cut or shave your hair off. You could even donate your hair to charity too.

Hiking Challenge: Can you climb a mountain or venture to the Yorkshire Dales for a hiking challenge?

Indoor Rowing: Can you row the length of the English Channel for charity?

Jazz Night: Ask performers and supporters for a donation at your 

Jumble Sale: See if you can sell some of your old things in a jumble sale.

Karaoke: Showcase your singing talents and get others to share theirs too

Knitting Marathon: Love Knitting? How much knitting can you do in 12 hours?

Livestream: Livestream you playing your favourite game and ask for donations.

Lottery: Set up a lottery where half the money goes to the winner and the rest is donated.

Mountain Climb: Gather sponsorship for a mountain climb, whether it's Snowdonia or Kilimanjaro, people will be sure to get on board and donate.

Murder Mystery Evening: Ask for donations from attendees at the murder mystery evening you host.

Name the: Name the bear or bunny, the winner wins the soft toy and you keep the donations.

New Years Eve Party: Hosting a New Years Eve Party anyway? Why not ask for donations for a New Years drink you create?

Obstacle Course: Set up your own obstacle course and ask for donations from participants.

Open Mic Night: Give aspiring musicians a space to perform at your open mic night.
