SumUp Card Readers

Generally, we discourage cash payments and would encourage all groups to move towards entirely cashless transactions. The easiest way to achieve this is by listing any products on our website, which can handle the transactions and automatically transfer any funds to your Own Funds account.

Card Readers can also be purchased from our Finance Office, which links directly to your student group ‘Own Funds’ account. Your SumUp Air card reader works in connection with the SumUp App, which you can use on your Android or iOS tablet or smartphone.

The card reader will accept card payments and mobile payments – including Apple and Google Pay, so that your customers have even more choice when it comes to paying.

The Air Card Reader is sold at a one-time purchase price of £39+VAT. There are no fixed monthly fees, you just pay per transaction (1.69%/transaction). More information can be found in our SumUp Guide.
