Logging In and Access

You will receive access to the Member Dashboard if you:



To log in, head to the YUSU website and click Student Sign In in the top-right corner. Log in using your University of York login details. Click the Member Dashboard in the top-right corner; the Dashboard should open in a new tab.


From here you can access various different pieces of information, including which societies you are currently a member of and any purchases you have made through the website. Under ‘settings’ you can change which emails you receive from YUSU if you’d rather not hear from us about certain things. 


Under my memberships on the dashboard, you’ll have an option to manage the group, click that button to get to the Group Dashboard.

I should have access but it's not working?

To access the Member Dashboard, you will need to purchase a membership of your student group. Go to the YUSU website, Student Life, Sports & Societies (or Volunteering & RAG), find your group, and click 'Memberships & Products'.

If your group doesn't charge a membership fee, you will still need to "purchase" a free membership product. Simply add this to the basket and go through the checkout, this membership will then be added to your account.

You should now be able to sign into the Member Dashboard from the link at the top of the YUSU Website.

If you've completed this step, and still don't have access, please contact your link staff member.


Preferred Names

If you or a member of your group change your name and update your "Chosen Name" on the University's systems, our systems will also update, but this may take some time (up to a month) - in the meantime the Member Dashboard will still use the incorrect name on member lists and event tickets.


You can, however, also change your name on YUSU's systems yourself - sign in to the website, click the "My Account" link (next to Member Dashboard), then use the "Preferred Name" field to change it. The change will need to be confirmed by a member of staff, but once this is done it will update immediately on the Member Dashboard for all groups you’re a member of.
