Competitions

Competitions can be such an effective way of fundraising, giving individuals or teams to participate and compete against each other, whether that's to win a certain event such as a Charity 5 a side or competing to raise the most money for charity.

Case Study

The Movember Foundation's annual campaign are a great example of using leader boards and competition to encourage fundraising. Not only by allowing University of York sports clubs and student groups to compete against each other on the leader board, but also by having national leader boards, where students can try and raise more than other Universities or Institutions.

Having something to compete against other members of your student group can really propel people's fundraising efforts, and there's nothing wrong with a bit of healthy competition when all the funds will go to a good cause!
