Member Registration

Member registrations are set up automatically by your link-staff member during the re-ratification process. These are standard across volunteering projects, as volunteering projects must be free to join.

All volunteers must register as members before volunteering with your project.


Memberships are purchasable by any members of YUSU - as YUSU is an opt-out Union, this is every student at the University unless they opt-out.


Non-students, staff and members of the public can also participate in your activity if you wish (your constitution outlines your membership), however they will first need to register as an associate member of YUSU first, these are known as Associate Members.

Associate Membership

Non-students, staff and members of the public can register as an associate member of YUSU on our website.


Shortly after applying, they will receive an email asking them to reset the password to their new YUSU account. Once this has been completed, the associate member will be able to login to the YUSU website and purchase memberships as usual!
